There is nothing that we can do that G_D has not already made, I believe clowning is not going to be allowed by G_D. Like the Tower of Babble, man is pushing to close to believing that man can create life, the best man could ever do is alter life, even if that happens G_D made the parts first.
Clowning may be the final down fall of man.

Oh. Okay, now I get it. You meant cloning.
I thought you were just clowning around.
Everyone talks of man 'playing God'. Really, all man can do is play man, but he somehow convinces himself that he's doing creative things. Man thinks he's playing God when he's butchering babies and altering the eco-system and attempting to make copies of himself. God's work is much better, and much more original. |

| How can you take a literal interpretation of the Bible. How could the World and Universe be 6000 years old when we see stars that are 17.5 billion light years away? |

I believe that the Bible is G-ds living word to us. I also believe that there are different types of writing in scripture. While I believe that G-d created the universe and everything in it, I believe that the description used in Genesis is given to us so that our human minds can understand it.
I don't believe that Earth was created in 7 days as we know them (a day is like 1000 years to the Lord and 1000 years like a day). Looking at the natural world there is so much evidence of a creator, rather than a bunch of cells mutating and evolving, I would say it takes more faith NOT to believe in G-d than it does to believe that the universe was created |

Is this question in reference to a post that's been deleted, or just a general question to whomever? |

Sir, I think the reason that your question has not been answered so far, is because it's ridiculous. How does the age of the Universe have anything to do with the distance the stars are spread out? I am assuming that you are attempting to ask how can the Bible say that the Earth is 6000 years old, and still it has fossils that date older then that. Is that your question? Or perhaps you are elluding to the big bang theory, that everything exploded from one initial point, and it would take more then 6000 years for the stars to reach their current place, 17.5 billion light years away. Is that it? Either way, I'll play devil's advocate and answer both.
If the Bible tells the story of an Omnipotent God who can create the Earth in Six days, giving us the 6000 Year date that it does. Would it not also seem reasonable that this All Powerful God could also create things with the appearance of age. The story of Adam does not say God created a sperm and egg, and let it grow, it says he create Man. Full Grown man, perhaps in his twenties, thirties, we don't know. But he had the appearance of age. You understand?
The question of whether or not the distance the stars have from us has anything to do with the age of the universe presupposes that you agree with the concept and theory of the Big Bang. Which most Christians would not, I assume, and so therefore does not disprove Christianity. |

I meet a walking refutation of that claim, every single day. |

But that would mean, when we see a supernova millions of years old, that God was showing us a perfect simulation of a star that never existed. And that would mean that He is deceptive. That being absurd, we can safely conclude that the Universe is very old.
