I was listening to David Jeramiah. (I think it was him) One of his stories reminded me of the heaven and hell issue when it comes to babies or mentally disabled people. I am trying to remember the story so please bear with me..............The story is called Dirty windows. Maybe some of you might have heard it....
David was visiting a janitor friend that worked at a school for the mentally and physically disabled people, (mostly children) who were abandoned by their family. Everyday there were Christian people (including himself) that would go to the school and try to teach the children about Christ and His return to earth to get HIS children and how when Christ did return, the children would go to heaven and they would get NEW BODIES and NEW MINDS and they would never feel alone or cast out. They would never feel pain again. Everyday that David went to the school his janitor friend would be washing the school windows...They were constantly dirty. David thought this was kind of odd because windows dont usually get dirty every day. So one day he asked his friend why he was always washing the school windows. His friend replied, "The children after their lessons sit with their faces and noses pressed up against the windows for hours. So the windows get dirty and its my job to clean them. "Why would the children sit with their faces pressed up against the windows for hours when there is so much more that they can be doing." Asked David. "Well," said the friend, "They are looking for Christ. They get up everyday, get dressed, eat, do their lessons and go directly to the windows to see if this is the day that Christ is going to return and they will get their knew bodies and their new minds and they wont feel pain or be alone ever again."
Yes I may have left some stuff out but the moral of the story it, (hold on Ive got to wipe my eyes again...insert tears) we may think that someone doesnt know or cant comprehend Christ........well we obviously could be very wrong. Who would think that a mentally disabled child that cant even comprehend brushing his teeth would understand Christs return. So again I say.........God will choose whom he will choose and He will reject whom He wants to reject.
Romans 9 :13-----
Just as it is written, Jacob I loved but Esau I hated.
15-For He says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion |
