Hi Luv,
I agree that the woman is to be in subjection to her own husband.
own husbands:
Eph 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Eph 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so [let] the wives [be] to their own husbands in every thing.
Col 3:18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
Tts 2:5 [To be] discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
1Pe 3:1 Likewise, ye wives, [be] in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
1Pe 3:5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
God Bless

Hello Lone (and hugs to you, too)!
I'm understanding this a little differently than you are, I think.
When I read these verses, I see that 'wives' (plural) are being addressed.
If the verse said, for example, 'wife, submit yourself to your husband' it would be singular but it is being spoken to 'wives' instead of 'wife' so the corresponding reference would be 'husbands' instead of 'husband.'
Hey, have a wonderful weekend, my road-warrior friend!
(I'm working part of the day tomorrow )
....But it is overtime!
