What has become of the Bible-discussion.com forum???

The Bible-discussion.com forum has been down for several days as has the Christian Viewpoints site.

I don't mean to panic, but is there a problem? Will the sites be back on line soon?

I really miss the Bible-discussion.com site and the people on that site.

I'm setting up a new server for those sites now. It was a blessing in disguise; the new server is VERY beefy - several times faster than the old one. ETA for sites to be back up is Sunday.

I'll also be starting to migrate forums over to VBulletin which today launched it's new forum upgrade with social networking features. Also will have free blogs available for members.

I have a test site where I'll do the first transfer - then begin migration of other forums.

The server switch was not planned - which is why there was no announcement about it.

I appreciate it. I am glad to know that this is just a (semi)-minor brief issue that will be resolved shortly.

I'm sure it was more than that to you since you are dealing with a server problem and some fairly major changes.

How are you and how are things in your little corner of the world?

Things are going good except for one thing - bank kept denying my credit card charges thinking it was fraud from a hacker in China! After talking to some friends who travel a lot have found out it's a common problem.

Everything squared away now and things are rolling. If it hadn't been for that problem I would have had things back online in a couple days.

I am REALLY enjoying China - even more than I thought I would. I'm living in the expat part of town so it's not too much of a culture shock and the food is fairly normal.

Rehearsal hours are long right now but the work is fun and the show is really going to be amazing.

You're welcome. And a big Thank you to you for dealing with this issue and getting us back up & running on the other sites.

I have to be honest though and say I can't wait to get back 'home' to the Bible-discussion.com forum.

This is a nice place to visit but the other site feels more like home.
