I think the wording and meaning of this question can be tricky.

Have you ever literally had an ego death experience?

That is where you are totally disconected from the world and know that you should be dead?

If you have, and then realize that you came back than I call that a true Born Again experience.

It makes you realize how utterly dependant you are on God.

It brings a whole new light to Christ's words.

John here:
Hi, I think that I agree with that? I call it 'spiritual suicide'. Total death to self by accepting the Everlasting Covenant & Everlasting Gospel conditions. First comes the Everlasting Covenant CONDITIONS of testing against 'forbidden' dis/obedience! And then.. accept the 'Everlasting' plan of Gen. 3:15. But, yes, before the fall, Both were simultaneus!

Saul is a perfect 'type'. An outright lost killer, & then a few verses later we see that he has given up his 'total will'! Acts 9:6 "...Lord what WILT THOU HAVE ME TO DO?" And of course Christ told him what he MUST DO, huh? (Me too! Matt. 28:20. )

Just one last thought remains? Saul asked the question, and Christ stated the REQUIREMENT! What if Saul had now refused the CONDITIONS?? He summitted so far, & then the lights were turned on, so to speak. Now he was given a test! (see Hosea 4:6) What would he do with it? One might ask why Christ did not direct the 'blind' Saul Himself, (pluss restore his sight) instead of directing him to the 'offshoot fold' that He had just intrusted with the keys of His Zion heavenly kingdom? (see Matt. 18:15-1 By the way, Acts 9:18 records that Saul (Paul) was baptised & joined this offshoot 'fold' of Christ's making!

I suspect that this truth of the Master's requirement given to Saul, will find huge numbers only getting this CLOSE TO THE TOTAL REQUIRED SURRENDER! They say that they trust Christ? yet they CANNOT trust His REQUIREMENT. 90% surrender is NO SURRENDER!

One last thought! The last church of the old Testament found the new Testament church on the scene at the same time! Consider Rev. 3:7---17.

Hi, it seems that the 'easter' thread has me censored out Rolling Eyes Twice this week Wink

Anyway, maybe this one will go by by also, we will see?
Regardless, it seems that the Lords time is being wasted & I am a pretty conservative follower of His. You know, Phil. 4:13.

Surely I am not the only one with this problem, right?
