Adult Stem Cell research is making great advances. Heart repair, rather than replacement. Pancreas repair to correct diabetes, rather than replacement.

Much more is happening in this area than is being reported because it is non-contraversial.

Theraputic cloning, where you grow a human clone to the blastcyst stage, then harvest the stem cells is making little progress but is heavily reported because of the religious questions that surround the process.
