I had been giving some thought to what this means when something
occurred to me which seems to make sense. I would like to get others imput on this.

The church is likened to the physical body to depict an hierarchy with Jesus being the head. It occurred to me that this allegory was not used to fit us, but that we were actually physically made to manifest it. So we were physically made in the image of the plan already established.

Rom 5:14 "Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned, after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come."

So Adam (son, husband, father) and Eve were a physical representation of Jesus and his wife (wife, mother, bride, daughter)

So we have a head, feet, arms, legs, eyes etc which are physical and symbolic representations of something already established before creation. So what can we learn of God through understanding our physical make-up? We know Jesus is the head and we are the body. Who is the heart?

We can live without the head (brain) and be a vegetable, but we can't live without the heart. We need both to function. Is God the heart? Man has never been able to search out the mysteries of the heart. Very Happy

Head - Christ (represented by a prayer: Dear Lord please build in me the mind of Christ)

Heart - Holy spirit as Mojo said "man has never been able to search out the mysteries of the heart" - too true of the Spirit of God is it not?
