Need A Spiritual Overhaul???
This Post is from a daily devotional book: The Word For Today.

Judges 16:20 NKJV wrote:

It took place so gradually that Samson didn't realize it was happening. When Delilah shouted, "The Philistines are upon you'.....he awoke....and said, ' I will go out as before....and shake myself free!' But he did not know that the Lord had departed from him. "What a tragic commentary on a man God had previously used to do great things.

When your heart grows cold toward God it's usually reflected in a loss of spiritual vitality. And like Samson, your not even aware of it taking place.

Suddenly your prayers aren't as effective. You're no longer a godly influence on those around you. You slip into old habit patterns.
If it happens to you: (a) you refuse to forgive those who have offended you; (b) you fail to make amends to those you've hurt; (c) you do what's expedient instead of what's right; (d) you harbor attitudes of fear & resentment; (e) you feed your carnal nature & neglect your spirit. "These are the little foxes" that destroy your vine & undermine your relationship with God. They are signs that you need a spiritual overhaul! How do you get one??? By asking God to highlight those attitudes, activities & relationships that need to be dealt with - then weeding them out.
The good news is, when your obedient to God's Word & the Spirit's leading, you can regain your spiritual vitality & He can start using you again.

This Post touched my heart because I have lived it! I know what it is to fall away!
But praise God He never forgot me. When I called out to Him, He was there!

we all need a spiritual overhaul from time to time.but first we have to have a spiritual OVERALL.
