If I walked up a big pile of muscles and & called him a bad name He would probably punch my lights out!!
But if I hit myself with a hammer & said the same name that would be all right!! I don't think soo.......!
Before I was saved I sometimes used some angry cuss words! We have to ask ourselve, are these the kind of words what God wants to hear coming from our lips?
If Jesus were here with us today would we say these words! Well He is! He hears it all.
The Holy Spirit that lives within us. Do you think Those words makes Him happy? Something to think about.

God says a lot about what comes out of the mouth and he also compares it to the condition of our heart. Cuss words may seem like a little issue especially compared to all the other HUGE sins but a sin is a sin.... I know that just sounded like double talk (Huge sin and sin is sin) but I hope you understood what I meant. .........Basically what I was trying to say is the way we speak says alot about our spiritual life.....and the condition of our heart. I try to look at like this
Christ lives in me........I KNOW He doesn't want me trash talking and then telling people ..........I'm a Christin and Christ lives in me...
Not a very good testamony huh! Tomorrow I will tell you a joke about that .........kind of not a joke because I caught myself doing it!

Yes Jeannie we really do have to be carefull what we say, as not to cause another brother or sister to falter & not except the Lord because of something we have said. If we walk the walk, non-believers must see the difference, because they are watching our actions. You can believe that. Yes you're right sin is sin no matter how small!
And our Lord will test us, so we need to be aware of how we act around non-believers & our brothers & sisters in Christ as well.
Jeannie, you are a very thoughtful & active poster. I enjoy your posts very much
God Bless You,
