So then, no true biblical support? Just doctrine and believe of what we would like it to be?

What was the Biblical support you were looking for? I posted some, so did others, and we are in agreement the the Bible does state where children are held according to Jesus.
I see where Jesus was going with His statement. When we get older we get 'wiser' and more worldly, and therefore farther away from God. Look at the other threads of other forums where guys getting phd's are so firm in their shaky statements of evolution vs creation. They have been offered a worldly view, the world works its way through politics, through Churches, through media, through everything so that anything worldly seems ok. But to a child they don't yet know the ways of the world, they are born with the Word (or all the Scriptures) already in them, and it just goes to garbage as adults have their ways with the unformed minds, stuffing them full of the world of selfishness, greed, hatefullness, arrogance, etc.
I just can't see God wanting a seperation from children until they are accountable for right and wrong decisions (knowing that they are doing wrong). Perhaps it is Jesus who is the advocate for the children and through Him they are allowed to enter in the Kingdom. After all, He died for US sinners!

This morning listening to a tv evangelist he stated about children and how the angels are asigned to them, and with the verses in Matthew 18:10 "See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in Heaven always see the face of my Father in Heaven."

Jesus was talking to His disciples at the time and was asked "Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?"
It starts in chapter 18:1-10 also with warnings if we cause the little ones to sin.

I hope this helps clarify the question.

Whatever Rolling Eyes

We were discussing a doctrine. A doctrine which is by many and supported through the tradition of the church, but a doctrine which is disagreed with by many as having no true scriptural support.

Nobby is right, it is a touchy subject, as are many points of doctrine which have absolutely nothing to do with the Gospel of Christ. What eats at me is that those who claim to spread the Gospel, and those who claim leadership in the body of Christ can get so hostile over points of doctrine which absolutely should not divide the body.

But you know what? It does not matter to me really, I simply wanted to see true, objective scriptural support, I'm sorry if discussing that idea caused so many to demonstrate their Christ-like 'love'.

I'm out.
