God is perfect love and perfect justice. He created us in love, as suitable companions for Him to commune with Him for eternity.

Through Adam's sin mankind became a corrupt entity, separated from God, for now and eternity. Corruption entered creation through this original sin and since all mankind now exists in a corrupted state in a corrupted world all that we do is corrupt (sin), and we know that the wages of sin is death. Our corrupt state separates us from God and provides for only one of the two possible eternities. One without God = death.

Thus, Perfect Justice demanded that we pay the wages for sin - death (eternal separation from God.). Although perfect love so wanted us to commune with Him, for now and eternity, perfect justice insisted that it was impossible (because of our corrupted state God is unable to look upon us - you cannot commune with that which you cannot look upon). What was to be done? How does Perfection satisfy the opposing requirements of the Perfect Nature? Perfect Wisdom.

Perfect wisdom interceded and provided a way to reconcile the desires of perfect love with the demands of perfect justice.

Wisdom provided a suitable sacrifice to take on the sins of mankind and take our place in the requirements of justice. A sacrifice of perfection - with no sin of His own, but willing to take on the sins of all. Through that perfect sacrifice of Christ, we have been redeemed, our sins paid for, our wages paid in full. Our sin was imputed to Jesus when He was nailed to that cross, and His righteousness was imputed to us. He died as payment for our sins, and conquered death destroying its hold, by rising again.

The desires of perfect love have been made possible by the satisfaction of perfect justice. Perfect wisdom has bridged that gap for us and then went one step further. Wisdom knows that there is nothing we can do to earn that sacrifice provided for us, so wisdom and love united and offered that sacrifice as a free gift, a gift of grace - available to all through faith. Nothing to do on our part but to have faith in Jesus and accept that gift.

Perfect love and prefect wisdom satisfying perfect justice.

Great post, Rev!
It brought to mind a passage of scripture that touches on the very point you were conveying.
From Ephesians 1:
Quote:
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

8Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

This passage blew my mind when I first saw this. It is an expression of the wisdom of God that He showed us His infinite grace in sending His Son to die for us. It is in His wisdom that we are saved by His grace.
